India: World's 3rd Most Powerful Nation

My Underwood is still having some problems. Of late, it has not been typing properly. The ribbon holder does not exactly pushes itself up when the typebar strikes the platen and hence the letters are not getting properly imprinted on the paper.

India third most powerful nation, says US report

Anyway, let me state what I see through this. I do not know what the American think-tank was thinking, when they declared that India is the world's third power after themselves (of course!) and China. Well, they claim to have taken several "insights" from experts from various countries and have conjured up fictional future scenarios to put up the theory. Fictional future scenarios would be as scientific as children's fairy tales. India's ranking in Human Development Index stands at 134. On the Global Hunger Index, India ranks at 66, whereas on that scale Sri Lanka and Pakistan are well ahead of India in rankings at 39 and 61 respectively. The GDP (PPP) per capita ranking of India is at 121 (World Bank) and 128 (IMF). Of course, one could say that India's clout has arisen in the international arena and that India can now boast of 57 billionaires, which in affect shows the that India is progressing and catching up real fast. While, it is true that India has billionaires, the poverty has also increased at alarming levels, especially post-1991 economic liberalization. What good is it to have billionaires affording world class luxuries, while grain is rotting in the godowns and warehouses across the country and people are dying of hunger, malnutrition and have no access to health care, education and accommodation. We have spent some Rs. 3500 crore to organize the Common Wealth Games, most of which has ended up in the pockets of the corrupt ministers, bureaucrats and businessmen. While the budget has shot up by 250% since it's initial estimate, yet nothing seems that will get completed on time. The CWG has come to symbolize how corruption has sunk into the national consciousness and that people hardly care if the likes of Suresh Kalmadi and Co. are making good of their greed. Suresh Kalmadi attacked Mani Shankar Aiyyar when he said he wanted the CWG to fail and called Aiyyar an anti-national. Well, who is the real anti-national here? The whistle-blower or the minister who was writing checks to pay firms that never existed?

A real super power is a country where every section of the society, every individual citizen is taken care of, where every penny every action can be accounted for and justice is dispensed as honestly and as early as possible. We do not find those things in the contemporary Indian context and hence we know that India is NOT global power but a third rate "wanna be".

  1. Not so relevant and still very much out of the scope to one interesting blog of yours, i've just given in to cite a 'short' expression which was written in 2006-07.

Have a few spontaneous words to share with your thought here, but sharing an old little piece surfaced for a while, mediocre and stray yet.

    Money Making

To wonder really is how a human element is stocked and designed with what. Understanding the Purpose and Application of senses is a thriving subject. Wanted to name this post 'Money Making' because the aim of the subject is to derive the cost of each of our senses. Sounds organic, aint it?

Well, past few days having a look at a controversial news-item, about two serial killers, kidnapping children, sexual abuse, killing them and eating their flesh and organs. This is just a on-the-way reference, not really involved with above subject. My senseless quest about the senses have surfaced long back and such above news keep knocking like drum-beats.

World, as describe India 'Chaos' is well geared up to witness some revolutions in coming time. The 'E' culture which eventually embraces IT and Economy with an appreciable public participation, has started being rendered by the Governments and various responsible bodies positively. A particular and limited class and percentage of mass is now engaged in making right use of Man, Machine and Standards. As people participate in progress, they have started to learn and understand the meaning of 'Productivity'.

Understanding and realisation are two different entities and everything becomes reasonably functional when realisation takes place among the majority. Terms and formulae which were much technical and Greek words to a common man have started finding their way to people's mind and senses. What it is really, and why so? You and me, embraced by the mist for 50 years are suddenly active and Karmic people! Why? To be 'religious', let us expand everything and then narrow down everything to just a 'sense'. Be it Bible, Quran or Geeta, the mysterious binding element of this earth, which creates and recreates the forms of Maaya is my and yours volatile form of energy and a common sense.

    ... continued....

  2. Read somewhere, a comparison between an M.B.A. professional and Common Sense. And once again it made me agree to some simple, basic and fundamental things. Still into exercise of simplyfying the 'knowledge' and 'sense' thing. Sorry dear, if you are an M.B.A., no votes for you... it's just common sense which outclasses your degree. People say, it's Generalists who are sought after more than the Specialists. But remember, half knowledge is fatal. It's better to be a Gardener than to be a Make-shift Architect.

Thing is, let us take an example, eventually, "I" happened to see myself for few months, blind and handicapped. "I" just denied to see anything else, denied to walked out of the home, denied to listen to the ones around me, my hands were hell-bent to some limited activities, including for eating, and other conventional activities. It was a complete denial, unknowingly. Denial to utilise my own resources.

    "I" had only restless mind.

"I" took every possible, virtual tour and returned back to the void created by me. Suddenly, one day, "I" physically shut my eyes, choked-up my ears literally and tried to see what i was failing to see in the prevailing 'handicap' tour.... The dark was well visible, but it gave me thought of those real handicaps trying to live up and establish the Karma. And the following day, there was an incident, a mission called upon by a Govt. Agency's Director to rejuvenate the fading space-time of his headed organisation invited me in that mission.

The organisation has to boast of Man - Machine - and - Standards and a sole guy is striving to carry an individuaistic effort to save the image and exposition of this organisation which is a child organisation of one big government autonomous body. It's an interesting-boring story to carry on. The immediate account which am forced to write is there is team of people with lack of different senses in each of them. It will be interesting for me if the mission is successful and targets are achieved, what each sense's contribution in reviving the Productivity? To satisfy my ego, "I" consider, only my mind is at use.

Everything premature, but you owe to be optimistic.

Keep working and use your senses + common sense. It's money making, not that hard damn currency, it's the money which nourishes your heart and soul.

    It's Karma.
